The 2018 AGM has come and gone. A total of 24 members attended and the proposals set out in the agenda were all passed including an overwhelming support for the construction of an '0' Gauge / Gauge '1' raised track. This will bring us in-line with the majority of local societies.
The outgoing committee members were re-elected without opposition with the exception of Robert Hutton who expressed his desire to stand down. Therefore there are now 3 outstanding vacancies on the committee and I would ask anyone who might be interested to come forward, especially if you have an interest in promoting and pushing forward the new project for the smaller gauge track or feel you have a contribution to make to the successful running of the Society.
It is with sadness that I have to report the loss of another member, Stan Stringer passed away on Saturday, 10th February. Details of the funeral arrangements will be forwarded when known.
We have had an invite from Erewash society to visit them in August. This invite, the 21/2" gauge rally in July and another get-together in October
