The club has a raised track 1270' in length for 5, 3 1/2 and 2 1/2 inch locomotives. The minumum track radius is 33 ft. Currently there is no anti-tipping rail. An automatic three aspect signalling system is in operation.
Passenger trucks have a manual brakng system with vacuum being currently being added. There are some driving trucks but you are welcome to use your own.
In addition, a 5 inch gauge ground-level track of approximaely 1700' in length has been created. For operational reasons, no public running is permitted on this track and access is restricted to club members and invited guests only.
There is a well designed steaming bay with power for fans, water and a traverser.
The site has plenty of space for traction engines and other non-railway activities.
Please Note: The club welcomes visitors with steam models but, before they are allowed to run on our site, a current boiler certificate must be produced to any club offical who requests it. Ideally wheel profiles should conform to recognised Southern Federation or similar dimensions. The club reserves the right to refuse track access to locomotives with non-preferred profiles.
